UK INNOVATOR
FOUNDER VISA

The Innovator Founder Visa is a leading UK immigration route for entrepreneurs looking to build innovative businesses in the UK. It offers a fast track to permanent residency and removes the previous £50,000 investment requirement.

UK INNOVATOR FOUNDER VISA

WHAT IS THE INNOVATOR FOUNDER VISA?

The UK Innovator Founder Visa allows overseas entrepreneurs to establish and run a unique, scalable, and innovative business in the UK. Replacing the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) route and evolving from the Innovator Visa, this visa supports those with fresh ideas that offer competitive advantages or solve market gaps.

As of 13 April 2023, applicants no longer need to invest a minimum of £50,000, though you must still show access to sufficient and credible funding. The visa is valid for 3 years, with no limit on extensions, and it offers a direct route to ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) after 3 years.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE UK INNOVATOR FOUNDER VISA?

To qualify, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Intend to set up and run an innovative business in the UK
  • Obtain endorsement from an approved UK endorsing body

  • Show £1,270 in personal savings to support yourself in the UK
